“ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION & RESTORATIVE JUSTICE TRAINING”
OVERVIEW
According to a recent study, people favour ADR tools to settle disputes instead of litigation because of how the processes work. In mediation for example, parties rely on help of a neutral “mediator” to facilitate constructive communication leading to voluntary agreement by both parties. Decision making rests with the parties themselves. An outstanding benefit of mediation is that, parties get empowered by learning how to improve their conflict resolution and communication skills making it possible for parties to solve problems on their own whenever dispute arises.
More than just a training seminar, this programme contains resources for changing the norms that so often cause obstructive behavior and replacing them with constructive, positive behavior. The core element in the CCPPA training system puts the tools of the professional mediator and negotiator in the hands of every participants/employee to build better relationships whether at home or in the workplace. This is an essential component of every successful organization’s human resource development and organizational development strategic effort. Thousands of people have learned this practical tool for the prevention and early resolution of conflict in any dispute situation.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Following the seminar, the participants would:
• Learn how to use principled ADR techniques.
• Learn how to assess workplace conflicts and mediate disputes.
• Develop practical skills and techniques to resolve disputes effectively and with confidence.
• Get tools to manage conflicts constructively in the workplace and at home.
PERFORMANCE GOALS
As a result of the employee/participants’ achievement of the above learning objectives
• The financial cost of conflict will decline by 50%.
• The frequency of conflicts in the organization will decline by 50%.
• Conflicts that do occur will be satisfactorily resolved 80% of the time without any involvement by a superior.
