MANDATORY TRAINING
ON
“ALTERNATIVE
DISPUTE RESOLUTION (ADR)”
OVERVIEW
In most
developed countries, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) has been used to resolve
a wide range of disputes without going to court. They offer an alternative to
destructive confrontation, prolonged litigation and violence both at home and
in the workplace. Mediation and negotiation skills as parts of ADR, no doubt,
make conflict resolution faster and cheaper within families, communities,
schools, workplace and even commercial and public disputes.
According to a
recent study, people favour ADR tools to settle disputes instead of litigation
because of how the processes work. In mediation for example, parties rely on
help of a neutral “mediator” to facilitate constructive communication leading
to voluntary agreement by both parties. Decision making rests with the parties
themselves. An outstanding benefit of mediation is that, parties get empowered
by learning how to improve their conflict resolution and communication skills
making it possible for parties to solve problems on their own whenever dispute
arises.
More than just
a training seminar, this programme contains resources for changing the norms
that so often cause obstructive behavior and replacing them with constructive,
positive behavior. The core element in the CCPPA training system puts the tools
of the professional mediator and negotiator in the hands of every
participants/employee to build better relationships whether at home or in the
workplace. This is an essential component of every successful organization’s
human resource development and organizational development strategic effort.
Thousands of people have learned this practical tool for the prevention and
early resolution of conflict in any dispute situation.
