TAKING PEACE TO THE RED ZONES

As part of its mandate for enshrining a culture of peace, the  Centre for Crisis Prevention and Peace Advocacy facilitated workshops on conflict analysis in Plateau and Kogi on the 26th September 2013. The workshops which took place concurrently, had about a hundred trainees in attendance.

In Plateau, a state which has been dubbed a red zone because of its incessant conflict situation, the workshop held at the Solomon Lar Amusement Park. The world renowned expert on International Law of Peace and War, Barrister Solomon Dalung and the Special Assistant to the Governor of Plateau on student matters, Joshua Wang were in attendance.

The Kogi workshop held at the Confluence Hotel, Lokoja and had the Mallam Mohammed Usman, the Chief Imam of Adakolo and President of Kogi state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria represented by Pastor James Oguche, in attendance.
