The letter reads “I am directed to assure you that the institute is ever willing to partner with any agency working for the promotion of peace and harmony amongst Nigerians.
“It is for this reason that I have been directed to convey to you the Institute’s acceptance of your request for collaboration in the areas of Peace Advocacy, Conferences, workshops and Training programmes.”
The Centre for Crisis Prevention and Peace Advocacy (CCPPA) is a peace – based non- governmental organization founded by professional Conflict management practitioners in 2009 and was authorized by the Federal Government of Nigeria in April, 2012.
The Centre seeks to promote and encourage peaceful co-existence through the values of dialogue. Since its inception, the centre has been able to facilitate post-conflict peace- building and reconciliation. It has also enhanced conflict management capacity and is working fervently towards the realization of the agenda for peace.
The center which successfully facilitated the Northern Peace Summit held at Arewa house in Kaduna, in January 2013 is currently facilitating a series of peace and conflict resolution training for the youth across the nineteen northern states of the federation organized by Arewa Citizens Action for Change. The Centre equally collaborates with other organizations of similar interests both locally and internationally.
